Doodle Guard privacy policy
Doodle Guard is a game for Android made by Bonny Interactive ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the game processes, why, and the choices you have. If you have a question or request, write to support@bonnyinteractive.com.
The short version
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
- Your progress, coins and settings are saved only on your phone. They are not backed up to the cloud and are deleted when you uninstall the game.
- The game shows ads with Google AdMob and uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the game is played and to fix crashes. These Google services collect some device data, described below.
- We do not sell your personal data for money. Google may use the advertising data described below to show personalised ads, which some US state laws treat as "selling" or "sharing"; you can turn off personalised ads as described under "Your choices".
Data that stays on your device
Your level progress, stars, coins, unlocked skins, daily reward progress and settings (sound, vibration, language, notifications) are stored in a file in the game's own storage folder on your phone. We do not receive this file. Android's automatic cloud backup is turned off for the game, so reinstalling it starts a fresh game.
The daily reward reminder is a notification scheduled on your phone; no server is involved. You can turn it off in the game's settings or in Android's notification settings.
Data collected by Google services in the game
| Service | Data | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (ads) | Advertising ID, app set ID and, where applicable, identifiers related to accounts signed in on the device; IP address (used to estimate approximate location); device and operating system information; interactions with the app and ads (for example app launches, taps and video views); performance and diagnostic data (for example app launch time, hang rate and energy use) | Showing ads (rewarded ads you choose to watch and ads between levels), personalising them where you allow it, measuring them, limiting how often they appear, analytics and preventing fraud |
| Google Analytics for Firebase (statistics) | App instance ID, Firebase installation ID, advertising ID, device and operating system information, approximate location derived from your IP address, app usage collected automatically (first open, sessions, time in the game, screen changes, app updates and uninstalls, ad impressions, clicks and rewards) and game events (for example: level started, completed, failed or skipped, time taken and ink used, hint used, ad watched, skin unlocked, tutorial step) | Understanding how the game is played so we can balance levels and improve it; ad performance reporting in our linked AdMob account |
| Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) | Crash and error reports (stack traces), device state at the time of the crash (model, operating system version, memory, orientation), a Crashlytics installation ID and a Firebase installation ID, app version and session information | Finding and fixing crashes |
| Google User Messaging Platform (consent) | Your consent choices, plus your IP address and device information to check whether the consent form applies where you are | Asking for and storing your consent where the law requires it |
This data is sent to Google over encrypted (TLS) connections. Only we can see the Firebase and AdMob reports; our access to these consoles is protected by two-step verification, and the reports contain statistics and crash data, not your name or contact details.
Google processes this data for us as a service provider and, for advertising, also under its own policies. Our AdMob account is linked to the game's Firebase project, so the Analytics data above (including game events) is also available to Google AdMob, which uses it for ad reporting and to improve ad monetisation. As a result of ad serving, Google and its certified ad partners (third-party advertising companies) may store and read identifiers on your phone and use your IP address; to fill ad space, Google may share ad request data such as the advertising ID and approximate location with these partners. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the consent form names every ad partner, and you can review them again in Settings → Privacy options. Google lists its ad partners at support.google.com/admob/answer/9012903.
We are located outside the European Economic Area (in Türkiye), and Google may process this data in the United States and other countries. For data from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. You can read more in the Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Privacy and Security in Firebase.
Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game shows Google's consent form before ads are requested. You can accept or refuse each use listed in the form, including personalised ads, and choose individual ad partners. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings → Privacy options.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for personalised and non-personalised ads. If you do not consent, Google shows only limited ads, which do not use your data to personalise ads and store information on your phone only to detect invalid traffic. For game statistics and crash reports we rely on our legitimate interest in balancing the game and fixing crashes (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Your choices
- Change or withdraw your ad consent in Settings → Privacy options (where the consent form applies).
- Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's settings (usually Settings → Google → Ads). You can also manage ads in My Ad Center.
- Rewarded ads are always optional: you only watch one when you choose a bonus (a hint, a level skip, extra coins or a skin trial), and hints and level skips can also be bought with coins earned in the game.
- Uninstalling the game deletes everything the game stored on your phone (your progress and settings). It does not reset your advertising ID; you can do that in your phone's settings.
How long data is kept
Data on your phone stays until you uninstall the game. Google Analytics deletes event-level data linked to your device's identifiers at the latest 14 months after your last activity in the game; aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept longer. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Google keeps advertising data as described in How Google retains data; for example, it anonymises advertising data in server logs by removing part of the IP address after 9 months.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your data by emailing support@bonnyinteractive.com with the subject "Delete my data". Because Doodle Guard has no accounts, we cannot find your data from your name or email address, so we will delete what we can link to your request and tell you what we did within 30 days.
You can also cut the link between you and this data yourself: uninstalling the game deletes the app instance ID and installation IDs stored on your phone (a reinstall creates new ones), and resetting or deleting your advertising ID breaks the link to ad data. Data already sent is deleted automatically at the end of the periods in "How long data is kept".
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to complain to a data protection authority (in the EEA, the authority of the country where you live; in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Privacy options; this does not affect processing that took place before. You do not have to give consent: if you refuse, the game still works, but game statistics, crash reports and limited ads still process the device data described above, and you can object to statistics and crash reports as described below. Google uses data to personalise ads only if you allow it, and we make no decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Right to object: you can object at any time to the processing we base on legitimate interest (game statistics and crash reports) by writing to support@bonnyinteractive.com. To make any request, email us; we will answer within 30 days.
Children
Doodle Guard is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. In some EEA countries the age at which you can give consent yourself is higher than 13 (up to 16); if you are under that age where you live, refuse consent in the consent form or ask a parent or guardian to decide. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the game and data was collected, contact us and we will help remove the link to that data.
Changes to this policy
If the game starts processing data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and if the change needs your consent, the game will ask for it again.
